Leonardo Marín Arévalo (Student Member, IEEE) received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Cuenca University, Cuenca, Ecuador, in 2005, and his M.S. degree in Automatic Systems and Industrial Electronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2015. From 2015 to 2019, he pursued advanced studies in electrical engineering at the Renewable Electrical Energy System Research Centre, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). From 2019 to 2021, Leonardo worked as a Research Assistant at Universidad Loyola Andalucía. In 2022, he joined Nordex - Acciona Windpower as an Electrical Engineer specializing in Grid Integration. He currently serves as a Senior Development Engineer at eRoots Analytics. Leonardo possesses extensive expertise in the modeling and analysis of power systems with high penetration of renewable energies. His research interests encompass the dynamic and stability analyses of these systems, as well as HVDC and hybrid systems, distributed generation systems, and microgrids.
