Maria Sans Esqué

Maria received her Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and completed a Double MSc in Industrial Engineering and Energy Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-ETSEIB), Barcelona, in 2025. She was awarded honors for her Master's thesis, "Dynamic Simulation and Stability Analysis of Power Systems: Development of RMS and EMT Tools within VeraGrid at eRoots," which she developed after joining the company. Her work focused on creating a small-signal analysis tool in the RMS framework and the foundations of electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations in VeraGrid. Currently, she is focusing on the advancement of the VeraGrid dynamic solver, specifically on EMT modeling, initialization processes, and the development of stability assessment tools for modern power systems.
