Andrés Mauricio Diaz Caicedo

Andrés Mauricio Diaz Caicedo received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad del Valle, Colombia, graduating Summa Cum Laude and being recognized as the top graduate of the Faculty of Engineering. Due to his outstanding contributions to research and development, he was awarded an honorary postgraduate degree, which granted him direct admission to a PhD track specializing in Power Electronics and Digital Transformation. Prior to joining eRoots, Andrés served as Dynamic Modelling Lead at a global engineering consultancy and as an Economic Dispatch Analyst at XM SA ESP, the Colombian ISO, where he also led Protection and Control initiatives. His track record includes the development of nationally registered software tools and a patent in process, focusing on high-impact solutions for grid automation and complex system analysis. He is currently a Power Systems Solutions Architect and an Industrial PhD candidate at eRoots, focusing on EMT studies to drive innovation in power systems modelling.
